1. Honeydew (Mattingly)          HM - rhythm guitar, vocals; RP - lead guitar, bass, drums.

Tell me you're sweetenin', tell me you do, and I'll love you honeydew.  Starlight and daydreams fill my eyes, but I'll never say these compromise my loving you.  Tell me your troubles, I'll tell you mine, and I'll love you all the time.  I know you'll hurt me, and bring me pain, but I'll love you just the same.  Starlight and daydreams fill my eyes, but I'll never say these compromise my loving you.  Tell me you're sweetenin', tell me you do, and I'll love you honeydew.  Tell me you love me, I'll hit the sky, and I'll love you when we fly.  Starlight and daydreams fill my eyes, and don't let me overanalyze my loving you.  You are my honeydew.

2. The side (Pagen)          RP - guitars, bass, lead and harmony vocals; HM - harmony vocals.

If I opened up my eyes, would I see you?  Would I see through your disguise, want to be you?  Life is only temporary, you know what I know and it’s true.  And I understand, you must think me mad, because I held your hand and now I drop it to the side.  If I had one life to live, would I live it?  If I had the world to give, would I give it?  Life is only temporary, you now what I know and it’s true.  And I understand, you must think me mad, because I held your hand and now I drop it to the side.

3. Mt. Baden-Powell (Pagen)          RP - guitar, bass, vocals.

The view from atop Baden-Powell is sweet, it's so complete.  I just hope that we stay small, be a part of it, not it all.  It's bigger than all of us, I see us fade away.  Though sometimes we try to change it all, I wonder why, why.  Here atop Baden-Powell life clings to what it can.  It gives me faith that life and beauty will persist regardless of humans.  It's bigger than all of us, I see us fade away.  Though sometimes we try to change it all, I wonder why, why.  Here atop Baden-Powell I pee for all to see.  But no one can see me though in plain sight, they're all blinded by the city lights.  What if I were to disappear, would they notice that I'm gone?  So many people with so much to do, where have we gone wrong?

4. Ten shades jealous (Mattingly)          HM - guitars, vocals; RP - bass, drums.

I don't like you talking on the phone, I don't like you going out on your own.  I never want to let you go, I'm ten shades jealous,  you must know.  I don't like you messing with your hair, I want to pre-approve of everything you wear.  I never want to let you go, I'm ten shades jealous,  you must know.  I don't want you running around, I don't want you putting me down, I just want to know everything that's going on with you.  I don't want you singing songs by him, I don't want you hanging out with them.  I never want to let you go, I'm ten shades jealous,  you must know.

5. The spring (Mattingly)          HM - guitar, vocals.

Everyday I'm going to the spring, everyday I'm going to the spring.  Where the water in the ground meets the water in the air, I'm going to the spring.  Won't you meet me down there?  Everyday I'm going to the spring, where the water in the dark meets the water in the light, I'm going to the spring.  Where the water in the ground meets the water in the air, I'm going to the spring.  Won't you meet me down there?

6. Warm wine (Pagen)          RP - guitars, bass, vocals; HM - 5-string banjo.

Could I have a moment of your time?  I've got this question that's on my mind.  Do you see what I can see?  The trees are growing taller, the players have changed before our eyes.  Do you see?  Do you feel like none of this is real?  Do you see what I can see?  Drinking up warm wine on a hot summer night.  I flee out through time and wonder why.  Is it a trick in my eyes?  Life is like a ride at the fair.  You circle around, curves everywhere, to find the end is the start.  Maybe from the ride we grow sore.  It just doesn't work for us anymore.  Funny how, even now, I remember my furrowed brow, envious as a child.  Drinking up warm wine on a hot summer night.  I flee out through time and wonder why.  Is it a trick in my eyes?

7. Hope (Pagen)          RP - guitars, bass, vocals.

Can anyone see me, along upon the hill?  The snow is falling down like I hoped it would.  And I've been wondering just how far we'll go.  Someday solitude like this might be hard to know.  Silence is a gift, like troubles and time.  It focuses the soul and it clears the mind.  But how did quantity become the measure of choice?  The noise if more deafening with each new voice.  Can anyone see me up here?  I'm alone, I'm alone and I've been thinking that things might change, and I hope they will.

8. It's all behind me (Mattingly)          HM - guitars, percussion, lead vocals; RP - bass, percussion, harmony vocals.

Driving through the country in my beat up truck, it's all behind me now.  I've got lots of good friends, lots of good luck, it's all behind me now.  It's all behind me now, I made it through somehow, it's all behind me.  I'm in southern Indiana, I'll be home soon, it's all behind me now.  I'll be crossing the river with the rising of the moon, it's all behind me now.  It's all behind me now, I made it through somehow, it's all behind me.  I'm gonna camp out in the woods, swim in the creek, it's all behind me now.  I'm gonna play my guitar every day of the week, it's all behind me now.  It's all behind me now, I made it through somehow, it's all behind me.

9. Fame in the establishment (Pagen)          RP - guitar, vocals.

I almost walked out the door, the radio had put me off.  And I know if we put it all aside, and I know I might.  Walk out the door, I'll lead you.  Turn out the lights, I'll see you.  Just give me everything and let it slip away.  They almost knocked right down the door, the radio had tipped them off.  And I know you want the world to see your face, and I know the price.  Walk out the door, I'll lead you.  Turn out the lights, I'll see you.  Just give me everything and let it slip away.

10. An insane wish? (Pagen)          RP - guitars, bass.

11. Apart (Pagen)          RP - guitar, vocals; HM - harmonica.

I saw you from afar, I don't know who you are.  A silhouette beneath the stars, tell me do you find it hard?  The only thing I find that's hard, the only thing is knowing that we might fall apart someday.

12. The hills of Illinois (Mattingly)          HM - guitar, vocals.

Can I cross over in the morning?  Can I cross this afternoon?  I got to get myself going, and I can't leave too soon.  I see your green hills in the summer, your golden trees in the fall, but it's a wide Mississippi to the hills of Illinois.  On the river bluff we rest, and I try to do my best to send a prayer out to the east, across the floodplain so sweet.  A haze is hanging in the valley, as I stare across your way.  I might swim across at midnight, I can't wait another day.  On the river bluff I rest, and I try to do my best to send a prayer out to the east, across the floodplain so sweet.  It's almost dark, I'm walking home.  The crescent moon is in the west, but I feel them there behind me.  Yeah, they put me to the test.  Would a good wind take me over?  Could I rise up and fly on home?  'Cause it's wide Mississippi between me and Illinois.  Yeah, it's a deep dark Mississippi to the hills of Illinois.

13. Richards Bend (Mattingly)          HM - tenor banjo, vocals.

I'll never leave the land that loves me, steep are the hills that rise above me.  Cool clear waters flow around me, green are the fields that here surround me.  And time never ends here on Richards Bend, where the years they seem to flow downstream.  My night becomes day as I find my way back home.  I found an old cabin by the river, we worked on each other for a long year.  I greet my days a little stronger, knowing in my heart I belong here.  And time never ends here on Richards Bend, where the years they seem to flow downstream.  My night becomes day as I find my way back home.  I'll never leave the land that loves me

14. Flits and sallies (Pagen)          RP - guitars, bass, percussion.

15. Changing to do (Mattingly)          HM - guitars, bass, percussion, vocals; RP - percussion.

We've got some changing to do, we've got some loving to do.  We've got to work it out, find out what love's about.  If we can't work it out, what are we going to do?  She is all over my mind, I think about her all the time.  She brings out the best in me, she's my Maria C.  I know we'll work it out, your mamma and me.  Yes we will.

16. Soldier pines (Mattingly)          HM - guitars, vocals; RP - bass.

Derek and Micah lived by me in the trailer park, sometimes when the day grew dark, we'd slip out through the sand.  Needles and cones in my hand, this place I understand better than I know.  I grew up by the Old Plank Road, these woods belong to St. Joe, he bought 'em up a long time ago.  But I camped out there on his land, and this place I understand, and wherever I go there's soldier pines in the back of my mind, that time was so darn fine.  We got the St. Marks River flowing off through the woods, getting in a hurry never done a lot of good, floating downstream just taking my time.  Living with the soldiers, with the soldiers, we were living with the soldier pines in the back of my mind.  Now I live in a midwest town, concrete covers up the ground whenever I walk around.  Then some sweet smell, some sight or sound, reaches in and brings me 'round to my Apalachee home with the soldier pines in the back of my mind.  That time was hands down fine.  We got the St. Marks River flowing off through the woods, getting in a hurry never done a lot of good, floating downstream just taking my time.  Living with the soldiers, with the soldiers, we were living with the soldier pines in the back of my mind.

17. Dance (Pagen)          RP - guitar, vocals.

Have you ever crossed a soul whose passion flows and ebbs just like the sea?  Her light is bright, and in the night she shines it out to me.  Have you ever seen the blue sky in her eyes or the sparkle of her smile, dancing forth like the "Lights" from the North, swaying magically?  Turn off the lights if you have to go, but keep the music playing slow, 'cause I want to dance with her for a long time.  Can you picture her face in everything that you see?  A pack of cards, a million stars, she's flowers by the sea.  Have you ever swam in love so deep that it's endless?  And she holds on tight with her legs, drifting together to where the wind says.  Turn off the lights if you have to go, but keep the music playing slow, 'cause I want to dance with her for a long time.
